Equine Shiatsu

 

Equine Shiatsu is another form of Shiatsu which unlike the humans, Equine Shiatsu is used on horses. In spite of Shiatsu, being an ancient Japanese form the Equine Shiatsu applied on the body of horses is a quite recent application and a new form of Shiatsu. Late Pamela Hannay is credited to have popularized the process of Equine Shiatsu. However, equine Shiatsu is not different from the human process of Shiatsu, because the same concept of Qi is used. The Equine Shiatsu applies the process of rotation of limbs, muscles and other points by using gentle rotations. Equine Shiatsu is a therapy for all animal lovers, especially horse. Equine Shiatsu is more like the usage of acupressure on horses instead of human bodies. The trainer or the practitioner undergoes proper education and training in various Equine Shiatsu Schools and are taught the various methods of Equine Shiatsu before he or she can use and treat the horses and other animals.

The trainer applies the body force and power on the horse or the other animals and creates a channel of energy that is transferred in the animal’s body. This process of Equine Shiatsu causes a proper balance and revitalizes the body and soul of the horses, who are one of the most active and hard working animals. By the help of Equine Shiatsu, the concerned animal is relieved from various joint related tensions and muscle pull, a good blood circulation is provided with the balancing of blood pressure too. Equine Shiatsu also increases the longevity of the horses or the other animals.
